about the lee building
Built in 1911, the Lee Building is one of few remaining art deco gems in Vancouver.
Inside, the copper walls and antique chandelier in the old lift elevator show a nostalgic and decadent era of architecture. The naturally worn grooves in the marble steps tell the stories of a thousand visitors past. The ornate trimmings on the doors and throughout the hallways remind us to slow down and appreciate the disappearing history of our ever growing neighbourhoods and communities.
